Design and Safety Considerations

Packaging matters as much as chemistry. The cell needs a hermetic pouch or steel can, a protection circuit that cuts both charge and discharge at the motor stall current, and thermal fuses approved for personal-care appliances. Because the shaver is sealed for washability, the cell must survive full immersion testing without any path for water to reach the terminals. Because the housing cannot vent, the protection circuit is the only defence against an internal fault, so specify a redundant thermal fuse rather than relying on software limits alone.
