Integration With Lane Equipment
Most toll systems run on 48V DC or 220V AC through a small UPS. Record the actual ride-through achieved at commissioning as the baseline; an annual repeat of the same test takes fifteen minutes and catches capacity fade years before it strands a lane.
Can sodium-ion replace the UPS entirely? The pack replaces the UPS battery string, but you still need the rectifier-inverter stage for AC loads. Some lane controllers accept 48V DC directly, which simplifies the chain.
